Your license allows you to negotiate more pay because you are a vetted professional with verifiable skills. You are also beholden to a higher authority that provides guidance and oversight.

Non-licensed Designers and Researchers can't bring that level of assurance to a company.

The license allows you to be vetted and gives you an objective evaluation of you and your skills by non-bias authority. In other words you are not only proving you are fit to work but you now have the credentials to back it up.

You'll have access to continued education and be up to date on the latest and greatest best practices and industry standards.

Statistically licensed practitioners are more likely to be hired than non-licensed Designers and Researchers. Statistically licensed practitioners are paid more.

The exam has a comprehensive breakdown of your skills, knowledge, and competencies. These exam results may be shared with a hiring manager if you'd like. In most cases being able to see a potential hire's skills is a great way to make an objective decision about hiring.

The exam and license process allows you to be vetted up front with a focus on what you can objectively deliver, as a Practitioner, to a company.

Submitting SAT or ACT scores is completely optional and will only be used positively when reviewing your application.

For example, applicants with limited practical experience may submit SAT or ACT scores to strengthen their application.

The same goes for non-traditional applicants. Someone without a degree but with a competitive SAT score will be looked upon favorably; as the board appreciates applicants who are committed to learning at a higher level.

The license is an assessment of your existing knowledge as opposed to a class, course, or certification. So, you will not learn much as far as education goes but you will learn how proficient you are in the areas you are tested in.

Your license renewal fee is $99.99.

A license can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to obtain. It all depends on you and your schedule.

Search for a Practitioner by name in our database. Within the Pracitioner's profile check the field titled "Status," and you will see the status of the license.

Yes. Each licensee will undergo an initial ethical assessment. Licensees are also subject to an annual ethical assessment.
